German oboist Christian Wetzel joins Stony Brook professor James Austin Smith and the Stony Brook oboe studio for an exploration of music written behind the Iron Curtain and a remembrance of the border-defying “East German-West German Oboe Duo” of the 70s and 80s. Featuring a world premiere by Bernd Franke.
